When my partner was gifted a rather ordinary-looking travel mug, I didn't think much of it. Then one morning I grabbed it and filled it with coffee on my way to school drop-off. It was surprisingly easy to drink from, with a small spout that didn't require me to clamp my whole mouth over the opening. It also fit beautifully into the cupholder in my car, without an errant drip anywhere. When I returned to my desk, mug in hand, I got distracted and forgot all about it. A few hours later, I assumed my coffee would be room temperature like any other open travel mug I'd left sitting too long. I was wrong—the coffee was still hot!

I was so impressed that I immediately ordered a pair of beautiful blue 20-ounce mugs so that my partner could have his back and I'd never be without one again. In addition to keeping hot beverages hot for hours, my favorite thing about this travel mug is that, when closed, it absolutely will not leak or spill even the tiniest bit. You can drop it, hold it upside down, tip it over in your bag, or any manner of accidents that would typically cause disaster, and this mug will keep all the liquid inside.

My only complaint is that, sometimes, the super-tight seal that makes it so spill-proof is a little tough to open one-handed. But if I have to use two hands to access my hot coffee and protect everything around me from coffee spills, that's fine with me!
